Culture of Joy

Whether self-care, care in the hands of our elders or being cared for by our sisters in their professional capacities, the more we care for one another, the deeper our healing. As Black Women, expressing our love and devotion to one another allows us to be whole; through community, we know we will always have what we need.

Featured Programs

Mardi Gras

Self expression is a cornerstone to joy and connection.

We focus our celebration of Mardis Gras on uplifting the Black community, giving our girls and young women the support they need to transition into healthy womanhood.

Monument Project

A Tribute to those that keep us most healthy.

Based on the work of Dr. Dixon Chibanda, “In The Company of My Sisters” was created by The Kinfolk Collective, Sage Crump, and Muthi Reed. The bench exists for deep conversation and healing. These are spaces to focus energy and generate more visibility for the healing of Black Women. Here, we interact with our wise aunties, health officials, elders that use wisdom to support us, and friends that lift us up.
